SP Light Slurry Pump Series
The SP range of light slurry pumps from Cornell are the only dry prime, light duty slurry pumps specifically designed for portable slurry applications with light slurries such as sand & gravel wash-plant returns or manure slurry with sand bedding entrained in the pumpage.
With a complete range of 14 pump models from 50mm to 300mm discharge and capable of flows up to 2100m3/hr or heads beyond 80m, this range of pumps is the 21st century solution to handling solids in sand and gravel slurries.
The range is available in three core materials of construction, Ductile Iron with a Brinnell Hardness sufficient to handle generally mine dewatering applications, through to 650 Brinnell high chrome, heat treated iron for slurries with up to 30% solids content in them and finally rubber lined for the more rounded materials such as those seen in sand pumping.
Every SP slurry pump comes with the patented Cornell Cycloseal system built in, ensuring that the mechanical seal problems seen on other manufacturers pumps are a thing of the past with a Cornell pump. The Cycloseal is specifically designed to centrifuge particles away from the seal faces leaving clear liquids to lubricate the seal and ensure longevity of life.
Other key features include various pump linings and heavy duty shafts and bearings to handle entrained solids with ease during the lifetime of the pump.
